MAKING film in Kenya

Team up and create your own Short Film

The Program

The MAKING film program offers selected participants in five departments the chance to receive mentorship while working on a tangible project under real-world conditions for a period of 9 months.

Scriptwriters begin by applying with a story idea, which they further develop during the masterclasses. After a certain period, the scriptwriters will present their short film scripts to fellow participants from the other four classes.

Participants will then form teams to refine the short films. Subsequently, these teams will present their projects to a distinguished jury on December 10th & 11th 2024 in Nairobi, which will select six teams, each receiving financial support to produce their respective short film.

The films will stand alone but will also be featured as episodes in an anthology series.

The team-building process and participation in the pitch are solely the responsibility of the prospective team. Some Fine Day Pix facilitates and oversees this process, but is not accountable for its ultimate success. A team is eligible to pitch only if the producer, scriptwriter, director, cinematographer and editor all originate from within the project.
