LEARNING Film Webinars
The Some Fine Day Pix LEARNING webinars offer a series of talks on current topics of the film industry, to expand the participants existing knowledge and get inspired in the daily work life.
The webinars are hosted as live sessions on ATINGI, an E-Learning platform initiated and operated by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ). To attend the webinar, participants must register a personal account with ATINGI. Upon registration with Atingi you agree to their Terms&Conditions.
The webinars are free of charge and open to participants from East Africa.
MAKING Film Program
The MAKING film program offers selected participants in 13 departments the opportunity to receive tuition and mentorship over 2-5 month, depending on the department.
During the course of the program, the scriptwriters will present their short film scripts to fellow participants from the directing & producing classes as well as participants of the various other departments trained within the program.
Members of these departments will then form teams to develop the short films further. Subsequently the teams present their short film projects in July 2022 to a distinguished jury, which will select three teams, each of which will be awarded with financial support of KES 2.000.000 to produce their respective short film.
The team building process as well as the participation in the pitch lays within the sole responsibility of the prospective team. Some Fine Day Pix initiates and accompanies this process, but is not responsible for its successful outcome. A team is only eligible to pitch if the producer, scriptwriter and director come from within the project.
Note: The financial support is tied to the production of the short film and will have to be spent under the guidelines of the German public procurement law. The selected teams will receive an instruction of these guidelines.
